What We Collect

When you use MyNewHaircuts, we process the selfie you upload to generate AI hairstyle previews. We also collect:

Photo Handling

Photos are transmitted over HTTPS and sent to Google through Vertex AI for analysis and generation. Our standard image flow processes photo bytes during the request and returns results to your browser; it does not save a server-side photo gallery.

To restore your recent session after a refresh, the app can save your selfie, generated images, analysis, any optional reference photo, and your optional preview feedback in this browser. The restoration window is 24 hours from when the photo session starts. Expired data is removed when the app next checks the saved session; a closed browser cannot run cleanup. Use “Clear photos” in the app to remove the saved photo session, or clear this site's browser storage. Download images you want to keep. Browser storage may be unavailable or removed by your browser.

When motion previews are available, the first eligible generated hairstyle image is automatically sent to Google for asynchronous video generation after your photo preview is created. This does not require an additional click or use hairstyle credits. Animation availability depends on usage limits and the AI service. Our app stores temporary job information and the video with a 24-hour expiry, and keeps a usage marker for 30 days to limit repeat requests. Google's video generation documentation states that asynchronous requests are retained for up to 14 days. Clearing your browser data does not delete a request already being processed by Google.

We do not use your uploaded photos to train our own models or sell your photos.

How We Use Your Data

Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted services:

Our aggregate funnel counters in Redis contain event, date, market, source, tier, stage, error code, model, latency bucket, CTA, experiment label, offer or feedback placement, feedback answer, and count; they do not contain photos or user identifiers. Separate random run markers expire after 24 hours and help avoid counting the first preview more than once per run, or offer views and feedback more than once per run and placement. These markers are not included in aggregate fields or sent as Vercel Analytics event properties.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Browser Storage

We store a browser identifier in localStorage to associate this browser with its credits. This is browser storage, not a cookie. Recent photos and results use IndexedDB, and attribution information can also be stored locally. Clearing all site storage can remove access to the browser identifier used for your purchased credits. Use the app's photo-clearing control to remove images while keeping that identifier. We do not set advertising cookies.
